Dr. Alexander Knold grew up in Olympia, WA and earned a bachelor’s degree at the University of North Carolina. After continuing his studies in biochemistry and microbiology at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, he went on to earn his Doctorate of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio.
After graduating, he began doing dentistry with a focus on community outreach for underserved kids. In 2014, Dr. Knold moved to California and has worked in private practice ever since.
A lifelong artist, Dr. Knold has always been drawn to the hands-on aspect of dentistry, and is meticulous about delivering the highest quality care to his patients. He maintains that the best outcomes in dentistry always begin with careful listening and communication. He strives to create an atmosphere for his patients that’s fun and inviting. Dr. Knold is proud to be working with the skilled team at Ericson Dental who share that goal and make it possible.
Dr. Knold is excited to be making Santa Barbara his new home, having many fond memories of visiting his grandma here as a child. When not doing dentistry, he enjoys exploring off-road trails with his Jeep, barbecuing, sitting in the sun, and his most humbling new pursuit, attempting to stand up on a surfboard.
